Israeli Summer

It’s that time again… summer is here. If you are already in Israel or are thinking about heading to Israel but want to experience the country from a more local perspective, you’re in luck. Here are some special summer events and activities marketed to local Israelis. You don’t need to be fluent to enjoy these outings – but you do need to come with lots of ruach (lit. spirit), and probably some extra cash, just in case.

Zappa Tu B’av music events

Tu Beeav

Honor the Jewish “Valentine’s Day” by taking your loved one out to experience some of the country’s best live music! For four weeks, between July 25th and August 25th, cities throughout Israel, from Beit Gabriel up north to Eilat down south, will honor romance by hosting a diverse mix of Israeli artists such as Balkan Beat Box, Shlomo Artzi, Amir Dadon, Eviatar Banai, Gidi Gov, Dudu Tassa, Miri Mesika,Yehuda Poliker, Yishai Ribo and many others. These shows are not your typical run-of-the-mill stadium concert events, but rather one-off, unforgettable performances.
